Terms of Service
Last updated: April 23, 2026
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of OKVIO's website, software, and services (“Service”). By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
1. What OKVIO is
OKVIO provides AI-powered monitoring that connects to IP cameras installed on your property and sends alerts to your phone when it detects activity outside your expected pattern. OKVIO is a monitoring and notification tool. It is not a replacement for law enforcement, physical security, or professional guarding services.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract in your jurisdiction to use the Service.
3. Pilot and early-access status
OKVIO is currently operating in a pilot phase. Features, pricing, and coverage regions may change. We may introduce new functionality, change integrations, or discontinue features with reasonable notice.
4. Your responsibilities
- You represent that you have the legal right to install, operate, and monitor cameras on the property where OKVIO is deployed.
- You are responsible for complying with all applicable surveillance, video-recording, privacy, and labour laws in your jurisdiction, including any obligations to notify or obtain consent from individuals who may be recorded.
- You are responsible for the security of your cameras, network, and any credentials you use to access OKVIO.
- You agree not to use the Service to monitor public spaces, neighbouring properties, or any area where you do not have legal authority.
- You agree not to reverse-engineer, resell, or misuse the Service.
5. Service availability
We aim to keep the Service available and reliable, but we provide it on a “best-effort” basis. The Service depends on your property's internet connection, your camera hardware, and third-party infrastructure (for example, push-notification providers and mobile networks). We do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.
6. Alerts are notifications, not responses
OKVIO sends you notifications about activity it detects. It does not dispatch police or security. You are solely responsible for deciding how to respond to any alert, including whether to contact law enforcement or emergency services.
7. Third-party services
The Service integrates with third-party platforms, including WhatsApp, Resend, Calendly, and Vercel. Your use of those platforms is also subject to their own terms of service and privacy policies. OKVIO is not responsible for their performance or policies.
8. Fees and payment
Pricing is listed on our website and may be customised based on the number of cameras and concierge service required. Where applicable, fees are billed monthly in advance. You authorise us to charge the payment method you provide. If a payment fails we may suspend the Service until the outstanding balance is resolved.
9. Cancellation
You may cancel the Service at any time by contacting us at hello@okvio.co. We do not lock you into long-term contracts. Any fees already paid for the current billing period are non-refundable unless otherwise agreed.
10. Intellectual property
OKVIO retains all rights to its software, brand, and documentation. You retain ownership of your camera footage and the data your cameras generate.
11. Privacy
Our handling of your information is described in our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms.
12. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without any warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will detect every incident, prevent crime, or meet any specific security outcome.
13. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, OKVIO, its affiliates, and its personnel will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost data, property damage, or damages arising from criminal acts, hardware failures, or network outages, even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve (12) months preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
14. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold OKVIO harmless from any claims, damages, or costs arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the Service, or your violation of any law or the rights of any third party.
15. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which OKVIO is established. You agree that any dispute will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law in your country provides otherwise.
16. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For material changes we will notify customers by email where possible. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
