Privacy Policy
Last updated: April 23, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how OKVIO (“OKVIO,” “we,” “us”) collects, uses, and shares information when you visit okvio.co, contact us, or use our AI-powered property security service.
We believe security products should be private by design. We do not sell your data, run advertising on our site, or use tracking technologies beyond what is strictly necessary to operate the service.
Information we collect
We only collect information you choose to share with us:
- Contact form submissions. When you send us a message through the form on this site, we receive your name, email address, property type, optional camera count, and the message you submit.
- WhatsApp messages. If you contact us on WhatsApp, we receive your phone number and the messages you send, subject to WhatsApp's own privacy terms.
- Demo booking details. If you book a demo through Calendly, Calendly collects your name, email, and selected time on our behalf.
- Technical logs. Our hosting provider (Vercel) may record standard web-server logs (IP address, user agent, request time) for security and service reliability. We do not link these logs to individual contact form entries.
How we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and schedule a demo.
- To set up your OKVIO account and deliver the service if you decide to become a customer.
- To improve the reliability and performance of the service (for example, by monitoring server logs for abuse or outages).
We do not use your information for marketing to third parties. We do not add you to any mailing list unless you explicitly opt in.
Camera footage and video data
OKVIO is designed to process video at your property. Footage is handled according to the configuration you choose at setup. You decide what is retained, for how long, and who can access it. We do not operate biometric or facial-recognition databases, and we do not retain video clips beyond the retention window you configure.
Third-party services
We rely on the following processors to operate the service. Each is bound by their own privacy and security commitments:
- Resend — delivers the transactional email responses we send after you submit the contact form.
- Calendly — handles demo booking and sends us the details of scheduled demos.
- Vercel — hosts the website and provides content delivery.
- WhatsApp / Meta — delivers messages exchanged between you and OKVIO through WhatsApp.
Cookies
This site does not currently set any tracking or marketing cookies. If we add privacy-respecting analytics in the future, we will update this policy and, where required, ask for your consent.
How long we keep your data
We keep contact form submissions and related correspondence for as long as is necessary to respond to your enquiry and, if you become a customer, to provide the service. You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights under data protection laws (including the EU's GDPR and the UK's Data Protection Act) to:
- Access the personal information we hold about you.
- Request correction of inaccurate information.
- Request deletion of your information.
- Object to or restrict certain processing.
- Receive a portable copy of the information you provided.
To exercise any of these rights, email us at hello@okvio.co.
Security
We transmit all information over HTTPS and apply industry-standard access controls to the tools we use. No transmission or storage is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information proportionate to its sensitivity.
Children
OKVIO is not intended for individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page when we make changes. For material changes, we will notify customers by email where possible.
